I recently started my fine art university course at UCLan in Preston, the course is amazing and I have already learned a lot, in the studio I am home. Though this will make me sound very ignorant I had a revelation in my lecture today. I have forever gone on about disliking contemporary art, that it's limited, lazy, purposeless and that I have always found it difficult to look up to these so called "peers", but then I was thinking, the definition of contemporary is 'now' and 'modern' and as a consequence I AM A CONTEMPORARY ARTIST and so is everyone practicing art in this generation.
